The Yorkshire Evening post has a full page write up on Yorkshire Phoenix in the newspaper and on their website.
It is a very well written article and shows the sport as it is and not just a kids game.

Dear Presidents & Friends
Forum
For a number of years, the FISTF forum went out of its original intentions. That to discuss table football matters. Sometimes, unfortunately it ended up the coliseum of arguments and personal discussions with people attacking each other.
In order to reflect that our sports is practised by mature people, truly sport lovers, the FISTF forum is to be given a facelift in and the moderation of this forum will be controlled in order to leave space for sports discussions and generate ideas for the associations, clubs and individuals members. Our forum must reflect mature discussion on important topics in order to promote this sport, diffuse this sports among youths and improve the sports itself.
We understand that for some officials, the forum was the way of communication. This Board believes that a more mature discussion is important. A professional attitude is today a must in our sport so instead of closing a window, we are opening a new one and anybody wishing to ask something officially has to go through the right channels. Players should refer to their clubs and national federations and the latter in any case can refer to the FISTF.
I would like to thank the people who contributed to the FISTF forum which is on its way out. I would like also, to add my thanks to those working on the new style of discussion and I am happy to pronounce that a new forum will be available for all of you as from Monday 12th April 2010, on www.fistf.info .

Dear Presidents & Friends
Goalkeeper
We cannot hide that our efforts as from January 2010, when this Provisional Board was elected were a bit biased on the goalkeeper issues. This board, was all ears to hear a number of suggestions, any ideas and all the possible dilemmas about this argument.
We are happy that this board involved a consultation process before arriving to any decisions. Each one of us heard his mates, some players and even some officials regarding the issue. Now we can say that this board, together with all those involved reached a decision! As from 1st January 2011 there will be only one goalkeeper for everyone.
Now we are in the process to publish the design and by consultation again we arrive to the production of this milestone decision, which gives the opportunity to everyone to share the same equipment and finally stop the issue about the Goalkeeper.
I would like to end, by informing you that more decisions will be published soon! We will be informing you about these in the following days!
